i went in to do my footie accumulator first thing on friday last. apart from a biddy feeding £20s into reel king i was the only bastard in there.
there were computer-generated nags racing on the screens. the commentator was giving form guides and jockey information. and they had adverts for CG motocross too.
don't suppose this comes as a surprise to anyone but i'm still baffled about how and why people bet on it.

nobody ever wins on those things.
I work for a small independant bookies and we have a lot of offtube commentary. The racing you get on ATTHERACES we get and channel four racing. but RACING UK we dont.
The reason is because they split into two companies. The cost of paying for all the racing is a small fortune. I cant remember exactly what it is but I can find out.
Basically what they are trying to do is force all the small bookies out and only have Ladbrokes, William Hill, Coral etc to have it all to themselves.
Not many people go into betting shops now anyway, with Betfair and the like, U can bet without leaving your own home.
Sorry for the long post.

Speaking of bookies see they are open Christmas eve again no doubt for fobts. bookies still busy up my way although must of time just 2-3 people playing the roulettes and a crowd watching them 'predicting' the next number out. Speaking of roulettes see they are on the suck for Christmas lost my allocated £50 £5 spins not one number so no change there. Was funnier watching others playing. Machine rightly decided the 0 needed a few outings on someone betting big on colours and one fella thought he was unlucky when 29 repeated 4 times (obviously not covering number) Only good thing at least everyone knows now these are not random and totally rigged, still like the odd £20 mind just in case one is ready to pay

VIRTUA RACING.
Somebody gets 'red hot' inside info and lumps on the 'guaranteed' winner, only for somebody to flick a switch at the VRHQ so that a 33/1 outsider wins instead.
Methinks its a massive fix, as is roulette - it gives the addicts something to bet on and it gaurantees the shops a turnover.
Open Christmas Eve again eh......money grabbing, horrible, dirty, scabby, greedy, fatcat twats.
It makes me sick. Maybe the government should step in but they're getting a slice of the cake, so why should they?

Why dont people learn.
They dont need to 'fix' the roulette or the virtual racing.
The odds are stacked in their favour, they have thousands of shops.
Your a mug if you think they're rigged they dont need to be, theres enough mugs playing them, always have been and always will be.
Because you know its fair otherwise why put even £1 in the likes of roulette. It's a gamble just the odds are againt you.

joe3 I agree they dont need to fix the roulette to make money I know about the house edge etc but those roulettes definately stink. Ok its possible of course for a number to repeat 4 times etc but these things do this stuff every day. Its either completly rigged or the machine is using a poor number belt in that lets say it decides to concentrate on groups of lets say 6 numbers for a period of time. I didnt think I was very lucky when I won 30 spins in row to go from £10 to £1500 just like I didnt think I was very unlucky other day when lost 10 spins in a row with only 2-3 numbers not covered each time. Funny how my luck on these machines improves when someone on the other terminal is blowing a fortune, it decides I can have a few £2 on number wins then. They are just a high jackpot fruit machine set to high % in my opinion. People would still play them if they were not held out to be random just like they play fruit machines. Another thing always seems if the roulettes pay out in bulk lets say have a big payout day or 2. Quite often when I used to play them big they didnt have money to pay if won(machines have cleared us out mate today). 1 day aswell I tried out the notion that hitting spin same time produces same number on 2 terminals. This was true for a good few spins then suddenly started giving different numbers to beat me. Honestly yes they can pay big but the only luck involved is playing one ready to pay out some cash

oh dear, people are really deluded, there is no need to rig roulette they already have the house edge. As for your experiences, that has not been echoed by my experiences which are loads, as I used to play them alot years ago. Infact they seemed perfectly random over the many thousands I put through them. Remember that there is ALWAYS going to be a pattern with roulette, whether it be a run of high numbers, run of low numbers,, run of middle column numbers etc.etc. so there will always be patterns of numbers.prizeguy wrote:joe3 I agree they dont need to fix the roulette to make money I know about the house edge etc but those roulettes definately stink. I have never seen 20 blacks come in as often as it does in the bookies in the casino!!Jackrack wrote:Fobt roulette, no matter how much people say they are rigged, are not.
They make so much on them, there is no need to put their company on the line..
Often i have stuck 10 quid in, and covering very little numbers, with 0 having 2 quid on, and 0 coming in.
How often do numbers double up in the bookies? Its rigged to a certian degree... I reckon over a set ammount or something
