i get overexcited about any 11 don't care how many points it gives. war XIPHISTERNUMS is pre-planned; very impressive but it is a deliberate shot.

imo SHAMPOOING is more elegant than some science word but i'm not playing in france so the noun doesn't count. it gave me some small joy. SHAMPOOINGNESSES? who is to say?

Before anyone else points it out, I have now taken the time to count the number of letters in CHILLINGLY and I realise that it is neither as long nor as high-scoring as THRILLINGLY. I'm still struggling to think of many (any) 2-vowel words that are...

The longest is LATCHSTRINGS.

One might argue that THRILLINGLY has three vowels.

Usually better to use the UQ in the standard order, of course!

Also QAT, QUA and in some versions, QIS.

No other three-letter-Q-words come to mind.

SUQ is also vulgar but then so are SOUK, SUKH, SOUQH, GHOTI and any other way you care to transliterate an arabic word which is not an English word.

unless the drug of choice becomes HOOKAH, HUQA, HOUQA, HOOKA, HUQQA, CHUQA, CHUKKA ( ) , HUCHA, OOCHA, YUCK etc. etc. etc. etc. we are stuck with SHISHA which is a laughably Anglicised version of the same thing. but don't waste your esses, spell it with some Qs.
