Rocky Horror display error, any ideas?

Just picked up my first machine today

wondering if anyone has a players guide or any tips on this machine.

It's quite an old machine... it's made by BWB and is basically a rehash of Lucky STrike / Jewel in the Crown.

You can play it on the emulator - it seems a very tight machine!! I remember seeing it 'in the wild' years back, and only played it once. You will find death often occurs before you get anything worthwhile built up on the board...

got a problem with the display on this machine now.

guy called me just before i picked it up and said that the display wasnt working, bank and plays etc, basically i bought the machine for £20 cause of this.

right the machine works perfectecly, plays ok sound is fine etc etc just the dam display.

i swapped the display with another machine i bought off this guy (bank raid) and that worked so i know its not the actual display at fault.

anyone got any ideas as these are totally new to me, im not bad with electronics.

on some occassions the display did light up with a load of
@@@@@@@@@@ symbols

any help would be good as i would really like to get this machine working properly.

i'll try and get a manual off fruit emu as posted above.
