Yep, my local boozer has just put in an unchipped
Ausin 'Danger' Powers which still gives the 100roll
when the Trueskill Repeat is denied!
Happy days ahead hopefully,
Would've thought these were all chipped now?
Anybody else got any obscure unchipped machines still?
Mortal Wombats 4 instance? I'd love a last go on a Wombat...

Mortal Wombats were everywhere. I had about 10 of em. So funny doing the trick and someone watching you do it, they never understood it but it was relatively simple.

there never was a chip on the Austin Powers, just used to do it usually everytime it was denied getting the true skill was the hard part

king kebabs used be emptiable from bar code on the £15 version, and if by chipped austin powers you mean that when you get 'austin danger powers mega' it only goes £25 and no repeats then i have definately played a chipped one. [after you have turned down the true skill repeat after your first jackpot obviously]

Thats not what the chip was for! £5 exchange only 1 icon was what the chip was for.

agreed logopolis... bloody awful that version.
btw £100 is certainly not garenteed from knocking back the repeat, it doesnt even have to repeat the mega, although it 98% does... and sometimes again for the £100

i played the same austin twice that i knocked back the true skill on and both times when i finally got the austin danger powers mega it was just £25, i took it that it was chipped not too go £50/£75. in the end i would just take the true skill repeat for a £50 roll and hope too get it cheap.
and i don't understand what logopolis is saying, anyone care too enlighten??

When you gamble the cash before feature entry to £5 and exchange in to the feature on the chipped version only 1 of the 3 'big money' icons will be lit instead of the usual 2 on unchipped versions.

I still think they got chipped, when i was
playing them at the time they came out,
i never EVER had just 50 if rolling unless
it naturally repeated obviously, the austin
MEGA powers ALWAYS repeated at least once...

perhaps there is a version that does the 2 icons off £5, but is much less likely to roll big?? There was one in medway services that could go dead if you knocked back the true skill repeat - there was probably many different programs for this...
although the one with only 1 icon of a £5 exchange was awful. On the original program/KK the reason that you played for the £5 exchange was BECAUSE it did 2 icons, BECAUSE then if you landed on the bonus square it had to be either extra life, or skillstop etc. which would get you the pot, whereas on the chipped one it just did extra icon as you only started with one, all old stuff this, only old timers like me will remember this stuff
