When into my local Quicksilver today for a swatch at the Raiders and Afu.

The Raiders was exactly £250 light ( with notechanger obviously).Refill day was yesterday and the really strange thing is is that its never more than say £70- £90 maximium light.

The Afu was only £41 light i may add, but isn this a TAD odd ??

Very strange, maybe it was that the manager dumped the hopper. Then refilled and didnt press the top-up hoppers button on the inside of the cabinet, therefore leaving it completely empty but really full! Surely theres no mtr which is been kept extremely quiet. Or maybe somebody just rinsed it for change and was coincidental to leave it precisely £250 off. Who knows??!?!?

Yeah but you cant take all the change out by putting notes in and collecting as when it only has like £100 odd left it wont accept notes

like has been mentioned, the owner has forgotten to press the top-up button after dumping the hopper when the operator has come round to check the profits etc

Thats a classic quicksilver/showboat cock up.

The hopper is dumped. They shove back in £125/£250 and then don't top up. I've had this several times on project's before in the past.

When ever you get involved in one, you can hear the coins gradually stacking up towards the mech as the machinie thinks there is jack sh*t in it!!!

Then annoyingly when it finally goes tits up and the mech jams, all they do is just remove the jam and still don't reselt float and top up correctly!!

FOR GOD SAKE ITS BASIC STUFF!! HOW SOME ENGINEERS ARE STILL IN WORK I DON'T KNOW!!!!

Sorry, its a sore point of mine!!!

Pooped back into said arcade today again.

Hopper was still showing refill x 250, so thought i'd try a board just for the sake of it.Cost £3 for the board which started with NO cash OR features ( never seen this ) managed to somehow turn the trail red but quickly got knocked back to blue.

Managed to get my £3 back via pick a reel.

He's on about Hoopers now, lol, what are they?? ;) ;) ;)

A hooper-looper-pooper-scooper!

:)

Had a good result on a 'new' SR near me last Friday. First board had eliminated a lot of the aliens (always a good sign in my book) so played around that and got the feature stack up to around the same level as the cash stack (which was at £7) Then pegged out. Next board was looking similar and managed to snare a MS from skill shots and add again. This went for the low £30s (can't recall exactly!) Put about another £10 through and got the £25 from the SS. I class £30+ as a 'solid' profit from one of these...!

Nice to actually find a 'crest on my route!

:)
