What machine for home use wud u recommend?

Post by sassy1 »

Hi evry1,

I'm completely new to fruit machines, makes, models, prices etc and have only ever played them b4 now. I want to buy one for home use and have seen a barcrest magnificents 7 3 D advertised locally. It has all the keys and is said to be in excellent condition. Just wondered anyones take on these machines from the experts! Is it a good machine and what would you pay for it?

Cheers

I am no expert but have a machine at home myself barcrest revolution. I suppose the short answer is get one which you think you would like with plenty to it, plenty of features different ways of getting jackpot etc just like getting a new computer game though eventually it will become a little boring as you learn how to read your machine better.

Magnificant 7's is a barcrest machine from about 1996 I think which is available to play at fruit emu http://www.fruitemu.com on your computer if you prefer or want to preview it. Anyways for this machine unless it has some sort of novelty value I dont know about I reckon about £80-100 would be a reasonable offer giving its age you can get 2003 fruit machine models if lucky for just over a ton on ebay.

Anyway barcrests tend to be reliable machines, try and make sure you see the machine working before collect and have a look inside the cabinet for any obvious damage.

Hope this helps

Id advise against buying this machine, simply bacause its an old machine and youve no chance of finding one 'in the wild'

Buy something like all fired up which has loads of clones, learn the machine and go out and make yourself some cash.

All machines will get very boring if you own em, i used to love pinball nudger back in the day until it turned out my mate owned one, played it to death and its shit :)

Cheers for your help guys. I don't intend to make money from machines just wanted it for fun. I'm not gonna buy the machine advertised though as it's an mp4 board which I was advised against. I will see if anyone on here has a machine for sale locally instead and keep looking around, thanx again x

I would get the blue red trail crests. Or a modernish red. You will be able to learn all the reels and therefore learn how many nudges you need, JP setups on Nearest win and super hold etc etc.

Will be more beneficial to you than a m/c which are only found in arcades on £5 JP!
