Most popular crest ever?

Post by prizeguy »

Ok not necessarily what is your favourite Barcrest but I thought I would ask your opinions what you think was probably objectively barcrests most successful game? or their most significant game? In terms of how it shaped future machines?

I would say more most successfull phycho cash beast

and most significant probably revolution -(the disc reel still seems a common feature on modern crests)

Would be interesting to hear your views.

Road Hog was where it all started for me. One of the first if not the first crest to use that kind of board so effectively, with all those catchy tunes and sound effects and a nice streak pot too!!!

Cash Beast/Brother then took it to another level and were great 'player' machines. Rev/BA/GD were all great in their own way but you needed to understand them in order to maximize profit. Casual players would have thought they were pretty crap with the bad hi-lo.

Cheese/Dog etc were ONLY any good if you understood the pots, general punters must have thought OH MY GOD!!!

Vamp/Shark etc were just great machines. Shame they aren't about now really.

Dart clones are pretty damn good for todays market.

Crest have consistently been the top manu in my opinion. What is next I wonder?

It's a dam shame that some of their machines didn't take off. Money Mad Martians was the nuts but nothing similar came out after

I thought TOT was excellent which also spawned some similar great machine in Party Animal and Adams Family.
Cod Father was also good with the casual punter so many things going on they just loved it

I'd probably say either the Cash Bang Wallop clones or the darts clones.

For todays market.
