spiker the biker coin mec fault

i have a barcrest spiker the biker fruit machine and i just switched it on inserted a £1 coin and an alarm saying check it out came on and on the screan appeared "coin mec fault , inductor fault"??? i havnt a clue wats the problem !!! it is the coin mec i know but wat exactly is the problem ??? cheers guys if you have any information for me .thank you

Put simply it's the electromagnet inside the mech that slows the coin down by a known amount, to check that it's real.

You can try cleaning the inside of the mech very carefully with some furniture polish, but it's likely that you will need to replace it is the fault continues.
