Hot Stuff reduced % payout.

Post by ma71lda »

Would the percentage payout of a Hot Stuff, 78% or 74% reduced to 70%, significantly change the way the machine plays?

There is one in an independant arcade near where I live and I'm sure the pikey tw*t owner has reduced it in the last few weeks. Either that or someone else has got wind of it. Used to be nice little earner (for a £25jp) but it's taken the p*ss a bit recently.

I've had a £35 Vortex turn up here recently, now remembering what a cracking Red this was i thought it should be a decent earner, it loves the staggered £35, £35 and if your lucky £35 streak, its repeated once in 20+ tops and i've never had it go in cheap (and by cheap i mean from under £40, 9 times out of 10 its £50+)even when redding first board, the problem? Well my money is on it being set on 70%. Its getting to the point were i'm not gonna play it much more.

Without hijacking this thread, i did have a few Vortex that would constantly play up, also a permanantly Red Invincible, i kept finding this one unit in different locations all over Leicester, play up is not the word, i've gone £300 deep, then on the other hand i've had a £105 off bits, on the whole though not worth taking on, but that never stopped me.

You don't have a 9, 9 board on Hot Stuff - you have the shitty 12, 12 board instead lol. Don't forget, unlike it's successors (Hellraiser, VIU, AFU etc) there is a question mark which is a free spin as it doesn't go 7, 7, 10 like the others, makes a difference when you need the one nudge.

It must get played because it's been a nice little bit of pocket money for the last 3 years, up until the last month or so where it's taken the piss a bit.

you can make just the same off of collecting the red features as you could from forcing a big top, same in same out different streak profile.

This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy
