"PND HOPPER EMPTY" - what does this mean???

Hi,
Thanks to the help of another user, I now have my 'Jiggin in the Rigging' machine in "gambling" mode. HOWEVER, after it initialises, the bank shows £14.40. When I try and play the machine (or empty the bank) the display shows "PND HOPPER EMPTY".
What does this mean? I presume it's something to do with it having now pound coins in the hopper? If I manually fill it, will the machine work or am I barking up the wrong tree?

As I said, I presumed that.
This is all new to me. So, in answer to my question, if I manually fill the hopper, will it behave?

Yes, you have to imagine now that you've got it in gamble mode it has to be playable as if it's sat on an arcade floor. It's not going to operate if it's got no money in it and it still owes £14.40. You either need to fill the pound coin and 10p hoppers a little or clear the bank, but having no money in it will result in this error every time a bank builds up.

Thanks for your helpful advice. I'll go to the PO at lunch and get some coins.
How can I clear the bank manually? Would that be by using the reset button inside the upper cabinet?

I'm not 100% sure having never owned a machine but I think you can clear it using your refill key as well as opening the machine up and clearing it that way, i'm sure someone who knows exactly how to do it will explain when they read this.

I opened it up and did a machine test in the test menu. That cleared the memory and it's taking cash now.
Cheers for your advice.

Glad it's running. You don't need to clear the memory everytime it happens though. You can either put your refill key in, turn it and then put coins through the slot to manually fill it, or similarly just open the machine up, take the hopper out and dump a load of pound coins or 10ps in there. Doing method 2 won't affect the meters though
