Sure there was others doing them in London, but whenever I went further south than Bristol the money was very good, especially round Exeter and surrounding areas, because none of the players had a clue what they were doing back then, but now all the rats get clued up early.

Having said that though when I was full time I never failed to make money down there, it was a great area to play in.

Mr Butcher does exist, I owe him £350. I want to pay him back but he has decided he doesn't want to know me anymore because I told him to stop calling me on 'private number' - I find it quite insulting that he then never called again!

I was good for a yarn and a few Aliens locations, long drives were when he'd call, when he was probably bored out of his skull, stuck in traffic. Nothing against the bloke, its just hard to know what to make of someone who seems to be a friend of convenience. I'm sure I more than paid for £350 with the amount of Aliens I gave him, could have given him a load more if he could be bothered to call me after my request.

If I had no fruit machine associations with him, knew him purely as a person and he was my friend, I'd say great bloke, but when it seems like he is only a 'work friend' it seems rather hard to believe that any human being can be that way about people. Hence the robot comment from Rich I guess.

We used to have an area agreement, but this became null and void when he decided he'd just keep all info to himself and run around doing everything thinking I wouldn't know about it.

I don't blame him for holding on to info, you'd be stupid to tell local players stuff they don't know. Joe doesn't have true friends within the game, just people who he picks up and puts down at his convenience. Joe is a businessman, and you have to admire his professionalism.

A good laugh too! I dunno, maybe he's also oversensitive and just gets easily offended. Certainly does well for himself though. Haven't seen him for well over a year now.

Nice guy is joe but as said by mcstreak he puts money first! Have you seen his car? Bloody 60 plate jag! Must cost him hundreds in petrol a day! He does cover a lot of areas and once said to me he does it with military precision! He did smash aliens and superholds for a long time before anyone else i know! He did 2 near my old house for a long time and i never saw him once!

I'm sure that if I put out some info that got to him, making him think I'd be of use again, I'd get a call from him saying how much he'd missed me and felt bad about not calling him from his real number, suddenly.

I outsmarted that Mr Butcher before. He thought i did not know who he was but i did really. i just went along with him and then i said i met a player called joe butcher before and he went quiet! i heard that he was puzzled about how i knew him!

Me and Glendale saw him a couple of weeks back,he walked straight between us going in the opposite direction,he looked like he was hypnotised or something,totally blanked us both,he then dived into a womens clothes shop,funny old boy!.

Ah! Ginger Dave... the only player I used to hear about around London who I never actually met. Legend has it he was a little scrawny weed who some players used to just tell to fuck off and he would. In light of this, I probably would have defended him as I do sympathise with those who get bullied. I assume he was ginger in some form or maybe had an addiction to ginger containing foodstuffs or maybe gingerbread men?

Its been a good few years since I heard he was around anyway. Now we have the blackpool rats, a few of them are ginger.
