It is sooooo annoying when this happens matt, just takes so much to get a decent return.Mattb wrote:Funny you mention that ob!
In went my £60 bagged coins. In went the £35 bank. In went every coin bar 3 i had in my pocket, making it around £140 in before it went. MS did a reasonable £80. Get a red JP shot (no repeat) immediately after, followed by Crazy Reels for £17, and Bar Series for £9. Dead after. Lost about £30 on it in the end, utter tripe.
Never again, and i mean it this time! :P :x
Bank Volt
Had this happen a couple of times too when box had pot in. One flashed up after I won a hi-lo gamble if I remember right but wouldn't give an OTB off shots so was worthless :x .
I found a Bank Volt yesterday. Full from the off, 16 nudges £10 + good times first board. Gambled up to £20 and lost. Lovely i thought, finally caught a flying new crest that i'll win a packet from.
Nope, i ended up losing £1 instead chasing it. Cost £115 for the first MS which did £70. I then got an IM board which did a flat £35 after, but it cost a bit to get it. I then tried another board which looked £5ish in value, but i opened my box and was surprised to see pot in there. Didn't dare try another board after this for fear of it costing £10+. Really sad that a £20 ready machine costs £100+ to go. Even then i got lucky to lose a quid, if i didn't have pot in my box it would have been worse. If i'd have taken that £20 first board it would have been a nice little win too. If i ever get round top laying one again (i hope not), i think that's what i'll do!

"Sixty percent of the time, it works, every time!"
Funny you should say that matt as I had a similar experiance yesterday. Haven't played an OTB for ages but a new one has cropt up next to a vortex so after playing that thought i'd try a couple of quid.
First board offered £10 on cash shots but died. Next board £15 on cash shots, was contemplating collecting as I was only £5 in but thought I would give it a push as couldn't be far off and that I might make a healthy profit off it...
...£80 later and numerous losing gambles above £10 and it finally let me up to MS which went for a flat £35, next board offered £35 cash shot red so took it as I had lost the will to live at this point, no repeat, few more boards for a couple of mid range wins for me to end up £2 down.
I mean is there ANY good time to play this god forsaken machine or is it just a pile of shite ALL the time!

I would love to hear what a sign of readyness is if it isn't £15 then? You get offered £15 on any other crest and it's almost there.bowie wrote:Those ten and fifteen shots do appear to come at random, i'd imagine there chucked in just to keep average joe playing them, hope of a quick steal and that, certainly not a sign of readyness
