Agree with notechanges being dodgy. Often causing alarms and such right when you're in the middle of playing. Tend to stick to coins as much as possible. Can't condone going around jammin' 'em up though... :?

No not at all. Your only risking setting off the alarm and ruining the play anyway, plus note changers still end up in more credits being played in the machine and making it play better for ourselves. I always find when someones putting a 20 note in. They dont walk off with £3. Normally if there not forcing in there own way they leave after the £20. Its strange they just play for the actual fun? Its like what there made for isnt it?!?

Yup, it is one of the things with noteys - if you see a £20 go in, people usually seem to think that there's no point in collecting the odd £3/£4 here and there. Quite often as well, it'll be someone who has no idea what they're doing on the particular machine, which, as you say, is always good! ;)

I too hate noteys. Nothing worse than a barcrest or similar one swallowing one....5 second delay.....

HEY, CHECK IT OUT! HEY, CHECK IT OUT!

Makes you jump and every bugger watches you. I had a bad one of those on a £65 bank hopper jam on a campers in a familyish pub. Not a good sight at all...

I never use changers and never will. Safe old coins, yet they can still jam up but normally a rock will unjam a block.

I had a git of a tenner get jammed in a 'crest on Thursday night. Hey, CHECK IT OUT! (That is the most annoying, just like you say!!) Had just took a £25 from a DM too. Grr...

Kindly though, the landlord phoned me the next day and said the engineer had extracted the tenner, but there was no record of the £25 being banked beforehand. But, he said, as a discretionary offer, as he 'didn't believe I'd be lying', I could have the £25 out of the till! What a top bloke!!

Lucky man !,

Whilst on subject of note acceptors, the Pulsation in my local Spoons is ALWAYS getting played with notes, more so than coins i'd say.I reckon they must have to top up 70-100 £ coins each night.Keying a machine in spoons doesnt really give you a good idea of how empty the machine actually is.

e.g, Played dond btb yesterday afternoon with all my spare loose change ( no pound coins ) and didnt get a sniff of a board so i though i'd plough a few nuggets through just to get on the board. It cost about £6 and offered £15 something on the super board.Took it and ran.Just before i left it i keyed it just to see what the hopper level was.Got a fright when it was just over £100 light.Glad i never keyed it before playing it as i wouldnt have bothered going on it just to see a board.

Straight away someone jumps on and plays it at 50p stake, gets back on the super board and gets about £20 from the next board !

Anyone reckon the two stakes ( 25p & 50p ) are seperate ? i.e independant of each other ??

Just a thought.
