Advice on casino offer

Post by Ruler of The World »

I've been offered a 1 off 50% cashback deal by a certain live casino. I will get up to £1000 cashback so obviously max spend is £2000. The £1000 is paid back in withdrawable cash, no strings. Obviously my aim wouldn't be to lose £2000 just for the sake of have £1000 the next week! What do you all think would be the best way to utilise such an offer? You can play any of or a combination of blackjack, roulette and baccarat. Would you go for 1 big hit? £2000 on 1 game of bj? £1000? A £2000 spin on roulette? Play small? Would just like some ideas. Aim is obviously to gain out of this.

Its only really a good offer if you are prepared to lose 1000, if you play 1 hand of BJ at 2k and win, you will win 2k or 3k or lose 1k.

When you say live do you mean live online?

It is LIVE casino yes and it is 100% genuinely LIVE.

If I did £2k on 1 game of BJ and got BJ I win £3k not £4k! BJ pays 6/4! Obviously I don't get £1k cashback if I win as its cashback on LOSSES!

I'm more tempted to go for roulette, Cover the section I usually do for £2k and as Mav says, try to hit em big or I lose £1k. If I got a return on 1 of the numbers I cover that doesn't pay so well (ie. number 4 would not be much profit) I would go for another spin, basically upping my bet until I hit a really good 1 or a number that wipes me out.

But you don't get the £1k back until almost a week later (a week exactly if I did it today) so its a nice long cooling off period!

if you lose then you could try recoup with the cash back, if it was on the live online casino you would be best at playing the lowest house edge game?

I have never played baccarat for serious money, I just don't get it and don't enjoy it. The only thing that's tempting about the game is the 8/1 for a tie, that's rare though. I do think the best chance to win has to be a single lump on, then again, you could have 2-4 reasonably big bets for that amount too but if the 1st shot would have yielded a great result you're kicking yourself for not going for it all guns blazing from the off.

The best mathematical strategy is to put it all on one number actually. The EV off that bet is £920 given you get half loss back. The more numbers you cover the lower the EV for example RED is an EV here off £500 ( 2000 profit 50% 1000 loss 50% ) well about that slightly less accounting for 0 of course!!!!

Of course you'd have to have big balls to wanna do such a High risk bet as one number!!!! I imagine that's the bet the casino would be most scared off though and would probably not allow that much on a number anyhow, sky Vegas does but most wouldn't!! If it were me I'd do 10 numbers for 200. 5200 profit or bag loss. That way you don't expect to win so you won't feel like chasing if it misses!!!

The expected Value doesn't change if you bet on number or colour.

Expected Value of number=
£2000x36= £72,000
£72,000x (1/37)= £1945.95
EV= £1945.95 + £1,000

Expected Value of colour=
£2,000x2= £4,000
£4,000 x (18/37)= £1945.95
EV= £1945.95 + £1,000

As you're best off doing a one off spin then the least risk for one spin is given when you put £1,000 on black £1,000 on red. Your expected value is the same, but the risk for a given spin is lower. Your best outcome is £3,000 though, whereas if you do a number £73,000. Basically there is no right or wrong bet as your expected value is the same, just how much risk/reward you want.
