In less than an hour.feel like I been smashed in the bollox with a sledge hammer.would have been more but my card started declining even though I have money in there.first thing I done was walk to the nearest shop an buy a small bottle of vodka(couldn't afford anything bigger as only had silvers left).

I've been there done it mate, it's not a nice feelng. But after a wile I just thought to myself what is the fucking point, all you get is win/lose/lose/lose/win/lose/lose/lose till your skint.

No point in gamblng if you can't read the future.

I often end up in a bookie on the roulette wheel. But thats because i havent won anything really on the day and i think i can win something on a roulette. Maybe if I won something good then I would not feel the need to go in the bookies. People who win on bandits then do it in bookies is what I don not understand!

I'm a fool for doing it,I know the risks.need to be more disciplined an stick to fruits,at least if I do take a hit it isn't going to be outrageous.

Think of how you feel now everytime you go to walk through the bookies door before you touch one again!

I always say something like that has to happen to shock you afterwards badly enough to not do it again!

Good for a COB if your running bad on the day :P

Haven't run bad enough to resort to it for a while though :P

Advice to anyone playing it, bet on a low amount of numbers and make sure each is a massive payout, then if they hit early LEAVE... this gives u the best chance to actually walk out up imo...

Losing £20 on one is bad enough. I only know the feeling on a smaller scale. On a Saturday Jackpoteers (£25JP) was backing first pound, and history was good.. £60 down and mythed. It wasn't just the money, it was the time, and the embarrasment.. Never played a fruit since, and that was 2 months ago.. It takes a crippling loss to make you throw in the towell. However it does become the best investment ever.

Been stood in a pub with 4 fruits in, and I don't even think about it. I think about the next time im off on a holiday style weekend, enjoying myself etc..

Hope all goes better for you B/A

Playing them far, far less now than when I was playing fulltime, as I don't have the excess cash, but still playing them nonetheless, and still losing money.

Any addicts, if you ever find yourself needing help with interview techniques etc for a good job, the person to ask is the area manager of your favourite bookie chain. They will do their best to ensure you get that job....

.....because they know that the more you earn the more you have for them to take. Sad but true, and this is why i'm content earning £6 an hour....

Big A, I feel for you, having said that with 2k I probably would have gone to a casino and had a proper punt. The problem is with fobt is that once you have dropped 1k you need real luck to get it back, a series of decent paying numbers, whereas in the casino you can start getting heavyhanded with pony chips and only need one decent number before you are out of trouble.

Then again i'm probably over 200k down on the wheel in my life so far...

Work hard for the smaller wins from S34s - and you quickly realise just how much more entertaining it is than losing out to the FOBTs.

I love the sight of all 4 FOBTs being in use on the rare occasions I walk into the bookies - stops me wasting anything.

Feel for you mate - fingers crossed that's the last FOBT you play.
