Happy days mate, my mate got a rebate this week aswell, and that was also for over £500. I might see if I can start paying tax just so I can get a rebate every year.

Have had 3.5 k tax rebate this year relating to overpayment in the last few years. Plenty of people have under taxed though. I know someone who got a 5 k Bill, he is paying it back over 12 months.

I wasn't mis sold any PPI, but my other half was. She wasn't allowed to take out the bloopa unless she had the PPI is what she was told. I suppose you could argue it was a bandwagon started by that Martin Lewis chap, but in my best accent "It was perfectleee lah-jit-a maaaht Sir! There is a pigeeeeooon in your baaaaahhhhhnk acccahnt"
I think most people were mis sold PPI. Banks ALWAYS used to imply loans would not be given without it - and initial quotes always included it without listing another option.
Fair play to anyone who can reclaim it.
