I've heard recently rumours about a Wii2 coming out, but actually haven't seen any phyiscal evidence. Has anyone else?
Also, does anyone remember when people kept going on about an new xbox called the 720? Was this a true possibility or was it just an counteraction to the PS3 coming out? But then again surley their must be a new box soon?

wii 2 was rumored on a couple of sites, ages ago, but id doubt it, its still selling well, and with the motionplus coming out it still has a bit of live left
as for xbox 720? why would they just double the figures? this isnt a memory expansion as on older consoles? surely due to the lack of hd support on the xbox360's replacement would be more hd/3d orientated?
if they do start to make them, (as in post-development) you can rely on the world media to leak quite early details as soon as anyone knows anything.

nintendo are planning an anouncement next month apparently , let's wait and see. they've just slashed the price of the wii afterall.
xbox has plenty of mileage left as does ps3.

I read somewhere that the wii2 (codename cafe/stream) is being unveiled on June the 7th and that big annual console fair the name of which eludes me right now, but from what I read it sounds ace gonna be on par with ps3 xbox with a few innovate surprises thrown in

although nintendo didnt really aim for a next gen console, they went for playability and aimed it at everyone, not just gamers, i wouldnt have thought they'd bring anything out just yet, you never know though.
if they brought a console out 'in par' with ps/xbox it would be a different line of competition, a very difficult market to get into.. surely they have found their avenue, afterall, they never cornered the main gaming market since the snes, the n64 sat in the wings while ps1 took over the world.. since then theyve perfected their motion controller (that they started on in about 1985) i for one would be dubious of any hi-technology/next-gen console they attempted because of the last 20 years being a complete flop for everything they tried to bring out.
my prediction for wii2 would be that it will be HD and run off of a blueray or memory stick/cart have a heavy dependency on networking and have some mega-crazy improvement on any motion sensor controller that anyone has seen.. (or just wii-mote-plus!!)
either way you wont be playing COD or GTA on it just yet.

Funny, I heard that GTA 5 would be a release game for it.
Also its supposed to be called Project Cafe.
And it'll have a screen built into the controller.
but wtf would I know, I'm just another spaz on a forum.

every time nintendo try something to bring their shit in line with everyone else they fail miserably
whenever they bring something that they attempt to innovate, they shine..
does anyone remember that glove thing they brought out in the late 80's

I'd be interested to know whether the next gen consoles are gonna use a 'cloud' as a way to save your games.

I just can't be happy with the whole 'cloud' idea. Perhaps I'm too olf and synical about it, but it's just removing layers of security for my liking.
