you need to take a screen shot of abusive chat like that because it's not always kept.

Chat bans are usually enforced for nasty shit like that.

Poker in the pub is ok but the standard of play is so poor and the structure is so fast that its a total game of luck.

Bite the bullet and get to Walsall. They used to have a saturday afternoon beginners freezeout I think. £5 or £10 max. Call them and ask.

blind levels need to be quite quick in a pub as the game can't last all night.
tnpl i played in (over a year ago now) started on 1/2 hour levels but they had to change to 20 mins after a couple of sessions because they only had a 12 am licence.
standard of play is defo an issue also but it's not an altogether bad experience if you want to be gently introduced to live games.

of course they have to be quick.
I'm just pointing out that fast structures and poor standard of play turn them into a craps shoot.
Also, as they're self dealt by people with very limited experience, some of the rulings can be shocking too.
If someone has a beginners night at a casino near by I would always advise them to jump straight to that.

The Grosvenor my end does these once a week. I've played a few and found them ok. Made a few mistakes to begin with but gradually found my feet. Best I got was a runner up tho, rivered for 1st :x Anything but a King or Ten and I would have been £250 richer
I'm banned from Grosvenor now but I'd reccomend playing these also.
