playing the UKIPT £500+£60 tourney at Dusk Till Dawn this week.
260 runners played 8x1 hour levels in day 1a today, ending up with 120 left.
I'm out of the blocks tomorrow in day 1b with an estimated 400 more runners.
5 more days of poker till the £70k+ prize is handed out Monday night.

wish me luck :D

Good luck and good skill, but primarily, good luck. Here's wishing they crank the bricks and mortar doom switch down to very low.

Cheers,

JG

survived day 1
started with 15k
break 1 I had 14k, avge 17k
break 2 I had 37k, avge 20k
break 3 I had 23k avge 25k
finished with 17k avge 37k

go back with 20 BB which is playable, but 400/800 100 ante will make a 2k dent in the stack each orbit so I'll need to be getting busy in the first session.

Only six levels today.
Will feel very strange leaving the card room with the sun still up and in the west. On the rare occassion the sun is still up on the way home from poker, it's on the other horizon.

Hard luck.

A useful mnemonicy thing for remembering in what direction the sun sets and sun rises, provinidng you're not somewhere silly like Antartica is

E arly in the E ast, so morning sun rises from the east

and there by process of elimination sets in West.

I do know where the sun rises and sets.

Are you making a joke that's gone over my head, or did you not understand that I was saying I sometimes drive home at dawn after playing poker, but never in the afternoon / early evening?

Yes, I understood that your time of the day to leave was unusual and hence position of the sun was noticeably different, no jokes in that post.

That little nugget of information was included just to help people with pub quizzes and/or faulty compasses.

Forgot where I was though. :?
