Hi Lo silver rechip
Hi Lo silver rechip
One in my local was out of order last week due to a blown fuse,
I was sitting near the machine when the engineer came to fix it,
As hes tinkering with it the landlord is chatting away to him, and the engineer mentions that he was also updating the software, but didn't say what for.
I did see him inserting a flash card into the machine and pressing buttons whilst re-setting it,
Played it since and cant see any real difference apart from the lamps seem very 'stuttery' - seem to jump around the feature board and can looks very strange,
The feature rip is still there, if anything I've had it loads on this version!!
And managed to iou it twice
Any thoughts?

They sometimes update games for no obvious reason. It may just be for 'internal' reasons - in other words, nothing to do with the way the game plays. Or, it might have changed the profile in a way that 'does'nt affect the way that we who know, play it'.
"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."

Agreed. As I thin khas been mentioned elsewhere, the rip is only a small shortcut to the top and I've seen (and experienced!) a LOT going into one of these when they're not playing ball.
I think Red have almost got the balance just right with these. Money makers for the providers, playable and profitable for us, everyone's a winner! Rein a dire, rein a faire, as they say in Lourdes!

Nope, but fortunately I don't suffer from toolers round this way,Spyder wrote:did he plate the note changer at the same time?
well not that sort,
although did have a spate of the other type of toolers (sledge hammers!)
3 months in a row, they broke into my local and smashed up all 3 machines, got to thank them really because it got rid of the pish and resulted in HLS being installed,
Oh and he didn't update the paragon either
You'd think these company's would get their act together, not rocket surgery is it?

Don't have any of these round here. Once had three had a great time never had to pay for a night out and I dont know the feature All the machines now are crap. Every notey is switched off barmen always check on you when you ask for change and you're just waiting for them to say sorry no change left and you know they'll play it when the bars shut. Played pugs for years but now maybe it's time to stop. It's sad but just as red release a whole lot of playable m/c to us "players" they go and chip them or turn off the notey to stop the push or force. Rant over. Or am I being unreasonable?
