New here, so hello...

Was playing a £35 FNC on 50p the other day.
About £7 in. Got board... offered me £15 off nudges which I took... HOWEVER, I didn't see that the red faces were there for hiddens. That aside, kept playing. Took a red Hide & Seek, - £2, £3, £25.... stopped it on the £25. Kept playing... got another £15 from nudges which I banked. Another board later, got offered Red Hide & Seek, which I took again - best offered was £12, buggered it up and got £2. Few more quid in, £5 on cash ladder, had £10 safe cash - went lower on a 3 to force it to give me the £10 safe!

I ended up £65 in the bank for about £10 investment, which I was pleased with. However - could I have missed out on £35 by not taking the red faces? Do you think I could've got more value out of it than I did? I'm guessing that £25 isn't often offered on Red Hide & Seek! Be a bit gutted if I missed out on a biggy but not too displeased with a £55 profit! (Also did a quick £25 at Woking train station on GZWI with red bar superhold t'other day!)

I think you did pretty much OK there. I may be mistaken, but I didn't think there was a feature on the hiddens that offers £35? Red sevens, maybe, from Stop n Step, which would have given you £20 on a £25 machine, so I'm guessing £25 on the £35er?

Good result though! I find that FNC often responds well to collecting a few high wins / red features. The top doesn't repeat enough for me to be too concerned about forcing it out...

Definitely 50p spins on this one... person before had it on 30p and got naff all. Seems a lot more lively on 50p, even if it does give you a few crap boards where you're gambling off rubbish numbers for nudges when there's nowt there!!

And forgive me if i ask a really stupid question - but if all the features are red, what exactly happens? Guaranteed JP?

The red faces would have been 25 but you would have had to hit a skill stop, if you had have hit this then your subsequent red features may not have been so generous.

If it was offering me red features and 15 wins, In my oppinion I would have forced it. However I have played lots of these and 55 is just about the best profit I've had and may times much less. This sounds like it was in a very happy state and when it's like this you can make either way. I generally force out of habit but that's not to say I'd have made more than 55 on this, the difference between both ways on this occasion is probably neither here nor there - did you mess it up? No

Was tempted to gamble off the £15, but when you've got not a lot of cash on you, and already a bit in the bank - a case of not pushing your luck!

Yeah, £55 up no matter how I got it is good in my book! Was just checking to see if any one recommended playing this particular machine any differently. I've found medium sized wins can add up nicely on Reds... I fondly remember £74 bank on a DNA (about £50 profit) without a top feature!!

(Any chance of the DOND trick now? :P )

The £25 version is better, I had a good expereience where I put £40 through it redding to get a £25 top then £80 to get it again it just took the piss to the extreme anyway gave an £85 top after that with some nice wins after.

The £35 one when redding you MUST take the £35 jackpot first and not gamble for the top as the max you can get is £85 so by taking the first pot it will still be redding and there for the top then take your rop and you can get the £85.
Just a way I have found to take the maximum value imo.

Making £55 on theese is very good and taking the red faces is quite hard if it decided to go on a fast stop and step.

Haven't seen any £25's round this way (Farnborough/Camberley)...

I was in a Spoons in Portsmouth, and some dude was playing a FNC, going all out for the top... the machine was doing exactly as you said, i saw him lose 2 or 3 £35's when gambling to get top feature, and when he did get the top, he only got £35... I left after that but he was pumping loads into the machine!

I just haven't got the funds to play like that!!

Glad I didn't take the red faces then... to be honest, I was seriously surprised at the £25 from Hide & Seek - if it wasn't for that, I would've stopped at £15 or so up. I knew something was up when it did that, I was expected £10 tops from that feature!

From my experience on reds Hide and seek red is 1 of the best ways of telling what state the machine is. If the most is only £7 - £10 then its a fake red board or the end of a streak, but this feature quite often shows £15 - £25 when it's ready for a force. That's what makes red's a good fruity to play. Most others would die on their arse but red's can give a run of good boards to build a bank of £50 plus before dying.

Cheers gambogaz - for once I did the right thing then - kept playing - and probably left at the right time!

If its red and it gives £7 to £10 then that was all as the value of the board was so you more than likely would have got to £10 and died.

If its red then its there for a top 100% on this machine its a true redding

i have to disagree about this machine. maybe its just in my are but its £25 and consistenly terrible. took £45 for three boards. yes yes y i should have stopped after getting nothing with a fiver, but you know how stubborn you ncan get when u dont get a board. its utterly terrible in my opinion, and i have played it several times with the same result.
