10p/£5 Quake

Post by shawstoke »

I'm new to the forum and am wondering whether anybody plays this machine and if there are still many about? As far as I'm aware there are no real 'cheats' to the machine but if you know how to play it, it really doesn't take long to empty just from general gameplay.
There used to be one in our local SuperBowl about 5 years ago but me being greedy, kept IOUing it and they got rid. Just last week I found one in a campsite arcade and tried my luck, half expecting it to be chipped and set at 70% payout, within £10 & 30mins of playing, i had £60 odd in the tray and it IOU'd me £16 (it spat out everytime I hit the £20 bankroll mark).
The machine played just like the old one I used to play on and it only took me a few minutes (and a few crucial mistakes!!) to get into rhythm and hit it.
I had to be careful over the next few days not to empty the hopper and just took it for £30-£40 each visit to pay for my nights beer after giving the chavs plenty of time to fill it up for me inbetween sessions.
I not once lost on this and only on one occasion did I have to change more than £10 to get it rolling.
Basically, can anyody back me up on this and even better, can anybody tell me where I can pick one of these machines up for personal use as it's just hours on end of nudging fun and very profitable for a 10p/£5 machine! Cheers, James.
