Hi low silver?
ok what you dont realise mate is that they do all bar 1/2 when they are miles off IN MY EXPERIENCE, I'm not saying this on one or two occasions on these, it has happened many a time - in my view you have been exceptionally lucky to not experience one that has done this when miles off.trayhop123 wrote:i have nothing but respect for you ob m8 , your a long term member who does know what he's talking about.
however i think we will have to agree to disagree m8.
i know at what point im comfortable forcing one , and because of it i hardley ever have one of the horror stories that so many other members do.
do you at least agree that 7/8 reds out of 12 is horseshit?
like i said straight after a 105 top , off remaining credits you sometimes see a 7/8 board ,,,,,,,, never ever ever a 9 out of 12
of course im more comfy going for one thats through the blocks and showing 7/8 reds but you can stil do a ton from this point without any joy
9 is propper redding and you shouldnt lose from this point in your force
there is the odd exceptional bastard though , that of course takes the piss with flat 35s and recycles .
I can see what you are trying to get at with the number of reds, but it has not been my experience that it is the case that all bar 1/2 has been 100% there for the roll or even a board top. I can understand that it may have been your experience though.
One of my latest experiences on these new reds is a notempole, I've probably already said this on here, I cant remember, but it was showing reds for fun, going to £15 straight away, £15 light, and ended up costing over £200 for a top, resulting in a £100+ loss in the long run... These new reds are piss poor in my book and probably explains why there is so few of them kicking around...

ok i can concede that maybe ive been lucky, in not gonna turn this into an argument ( for that we would need to invite petera lol ).
but i play these all day everyday like everyone else, and dont seem to be getting the 200loss horror scenarios that others talk about, so i must be doing something right ,,,, maybe its because im more cautions as to whether to go for the force or not,,,,, or maybe im reading the false signs better, or maybe im just a damm lucky spawny twat lol, i dont know ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but a lot of false arb 1/2 boards are soooooo easy to spot , they stick out like a hrk sig.
anyways like you said doesn't reaaaally matter,,, ive only got 2 notempoles and a handful of coppas/cob's ,,,,,,,
indy's are popping up a bit though dontcha think?????

Little discipline = BIG issue

Well I'd say i'm probably the most reckless Red player on here. I force a red probably 85% of the time, the only thing that prevents me from forcing is
a) it's a lot off
b) it looks really dead on it's arse.
Now i've played em all reguarly since the £35 upgrade, only the 3 new-uns I aint yet seen.
These nightmare £200+ sessions I've only had 3 of.
1 FNC (£25), 1 CLT & 1 OAR
Other than that I've never been more than around £100-£130 in for a top.
I've seen them progress from a dead looking state into a buzzing state & my tuppence worth is that the newer breed show no definate signs at all.
COB reds more than it shows blues, CLT reds but won't put the big wins in and keeps dropping in shite numbers. Mummys have done me more than any other red, (ARB1, offering red pyramid gold then costing £60+ for a flat top then repeat process).
I agree I reckon there are different programs about, that OAR I hardly ever won on & I kept right on top of it, Another OAR a while back in a main town centre pub was huge!!
Snakez I am well up on. Only had 4 upto now but had no really big losses, several drawn out sessions to break even butt quite a lot of £40+ profits. Yet most people seem to have had nightmares on them.
You can't say I've been lucky, We're talking a hell of a lot of reds in the last 18 months.
I imagine alot of these bad hits are happening in services or arcades which may suggest somethings amiss.

I've only seen 1 indy, a couple of cob and coppas and one notempole, tbh I doubt I'd bother going in for any of those, unless I thought it was a good pub as such.trayhop123 wrote:ok i can concede that maybe ive been lucky, in not gonna turn this into an argument ( for that we would need to invite petera lol ).

I see what you mean about the arb1 fakes being easy to spot (indeed on mummy I think its obvious, I dont think mummys are that bad at all), but my issue with these new reds is that it is difficult to tell whether they are still going after a top, in the way they can act really dead and then do a £70 top (ie. last COB £35 for cheap, then looked on its arse £5-6 losing all the time, not doing red boards), then £35 later a top for £70... whats going on there eh?!?! ( on the flip side I've seen them go to £15 after and be MILES of and not runnning, and on that case showing reds too ).I know older ones would be VERY VERY unlikely to do that. Its almost like your playing on and PREYING it is still there!!! Either that or run after a repeated top.
You've obviously played alot more of these new ones than me tray tbh, I've only played a handful and not that many times, so you are probably in a slgihtly better positiion to judge them, although at the moment, I'm not impressed, for the issues outlined above, although I concede profits can be made if you are lucky.
Had exactly the same on Sunday - no show top for £45 - no roll. Like you only 20 odd in so no complaintstrayhop123 wrote:i had a cash or bust do a 45 top on me last week, to be fair it wasnt redding ,.... it was somewhat forced with a no lose and extra life situation, but it only cost 20 so i wasnt fussed weather it freak triggered reds after or not
couldn't believe my eyes though ,,,,,,,,,,,, so obviously forced and not ready for a top
would normally play properly and wait till redding but off 20quid couldn't care less

This is a weird post and reading through I don't think any1 is actually right or wrong the programmes just seem more random now.
COB - These have never fake redded for me - not once (that I can remember) - I've made or at least broken even when I have ARB 4 - not 1 or 2 - 4. I admit I have had to heavily recycle like that time I got 35 / 35 /35 /35 /35 / 105. I just stuck with it (although worried - I was on it an hour)
CLT - Fake reds for fun - I put £275 through this when it first came out when it was ARB1 and walked off with just shy of £100. Like I've said before you will notice that when red it won't hit the red features or it might hit the crap ones. But to add to this it can even hit things like Hot Fuzz in red and still be dead / miles off.
Snakes - If it reds u should be up for a decent profit or a quick top (end of some1s streak).
Mummies - ARB3 or better and you really should be good. The only thing I would say is don't expect as much profit as you would from say FNC or whatever. I think a good result on a mummy is getting a £35 and it going up quite quickly for another £35 (I collect. Stopped gambling for the top a long time ago - I either die or it does £35 anyway) for say about a £25 profit.
To sum up I've said before - all my good ones are always good, I have the odd one that is hit or miss and I have some I completely avoid coz they are always shit....

Also I think a few people rely on a machine being in a decent bar (lots of slotters) but u need a combination of good machine + good bar.
There have been a few reds in Walkabout over the years which have been slotted for fun everytime I've been in and still be stupidly hard work.
Whereas others have been amazing. I've got a good COB in a good bar and it's quality. I did it Monday - £35 in for £70. Did it yesterday £40 in £86 out and I'll be back on Sunday

i have a cob that is lovely everytime i play it ( every 2 days ish ) always goes quick and 99% time a profit, but the pub opposite,...... but the pub fucking opposite !!!!
it is sent from hell !!! all reds but 1 nearly everytime i have played it , £100 in plus £35 dead everytime, stone cold dead. i could understand this if it had given me a close sequence of £105s etc but it never does , and yes of course i have reforced it but it repeats the process , i lost £400 in it one day and no top beyond £35.
some may argue someones beating me to it ???no they aint i know refil days take meter readings etc etc it cannot justify its percentage, i have a coppa load of this that is similar, it has a massive HUGE £10 block off that after chucking £600 yes £600 at it for a force it still wouldnt go.
there is different chips in some reds i can almost guarentee it, i agree that when they place nicely and behave they are lovely but get a bad one ( diff chip or whatever ) they will have your pants down and shaft you.
everytime i see a new one now on my travels my mind wonders and thinks " fuck shit its full i have to take it on but i only have £300 on me and a bank limit of £250 a day " wheres the good old days i ask myself where have they gone ?
give me a route of lets say 20 lucky devils compared to a route of 300 CLT or COBs anyday.
