Best result on this after 2 times of playing, bearing in mind on mon took 105 out of it(70 then 35).

Well today 50 quid in and all the numbers were fucking up and i was losing on higher than a 1 and the likes, it then went up the top and gave 70 and then 3 boards later it gave another 70 quid and it ioud for 9 quid? wtf only fill it with 125??????

This is slowly winning me round. Been having some good results off them of late. Just needed to find the best way of playing them and it's paying off now.

Had my 1st play on this on saturday in some pub in alderly edge. It was backing off the 1st £ and redding very nicely but still cost £30 ish to fill Vortex which gave a flat £35 then went stone dead afterwards. :(

Must of either caught it at end of streak or you are playing it on Mega game which gives high wins a lot and shows when not ready.

Had a great result last Friday on the Vortex near me. First pound (second go!) spun blue bars in for £6, which I gambled out for a £70 MS! After another £20 in, (was still redding, hence the play-on) name fill for £35. Another £10 later and another name fill for £35. The best result I've had on this! :)

This, along with OAR, I've not really had a struggle on - have heard of monster stories, but am still keeping lucky. Dreading the day when I get caught in this 'redding for £100 in' scenario. :(

The gambles from SS to MS on this also seem a lot more friendly - I think I've only been let down a handful of times against lots that have won.

cost me £90 for my first top yesterday from full and showing in a refill daily boozer, gave me 2 x £35 tops then a £70, my first £140 even if it was slightly staggered, shame it cost so much for the first top but cant moan about £40ish profit :D

Thats just it though..another 20 quid in for a flat 35 - and tenner for another 35.. virtually a staggered streak. The tenner is acceptable.

Played this about 10 times now...none of them really positive...

True, although this also responds well to the 'take red features' approach, the same way that Pulsation would too. My best results on that often came from collecting anything above £5, red features and green '£5 possible' features. Although of course, there's always the argument that I may have made the same from forcing for the top. :)

Only played this twice, but I dont like this mc, havent got 'done' on it yet though.
Last night as an example arb3 first board did on the gamble to the top on a 2., £30 later a £35 (jp) top, still red next few boards kills on the gamble to the top 3 times, then goes back to green boards so i end up taking small wins £7 etc basically left with £35 when it cost me £40.
Was not impressed, what are the good features on this? Is there one with a shot at the top cash values (apart from getting the top!)

sounds like the top was still on too me, just being a bit awkward. some reds do have a dead patch in the middle of a big streak. if i see lots of red features after a £35 top i will play for the top again everytime. :)

got 6 of these my end now and had some nice results lately :D

quick question, new to red gaming and playin vortex yesterday £30 in £30 out - just playin round with it really. has a notey, but can't key it cos too close to staff :(

anyways, when u say its redding or a red board do you mean that its offering a lot of red features or do parts of the board change red in colour like the vortex name fill, does that go red instead of green?

also, can you get IM on reds?

shit another qu sorry :? is it best to play on normal play or mega spins, seems mixed repsonses on here, but it just seems to rinse credits on mega spin!

Redding = More features are red instead of green/blue
ARB1 = All features are red bar 1 meaning the top is usually iminent (unless the hiddens are on as this can be misleading)
If features are 50% red plus then it's usually worth a force, apart from Sub Zero (Fake reds quite often)
As far as my memory goes i've never had an IM on a red.
Mega Spins is a must on the majority of reds if your on a force.

Yup, filling the 'Vortex' name goes straight to Mega Streak. The only two Red machines I recall with IM:

-Critical Mass
-Invincible (funny that?!)

Although I'd say that Red machines offer the most ways to get the top, in place of an IM:

-All Red features
-3x Icons of some sort
-3x Extra Lives
-Name filling; straight to top

So we can't complain too much... ;)
