i have a monster cash machine with note acceptor, the machine reset itself for some reason and now the hopper only wants £125 instead of £250 and the note acceptor has a red x, do you know how to get the machine to recognize the note accepor again please?

You need to reset the BNV code on the Notey itself 1st,

Take it out and unplug it, and find the switches on it, put sw6 on, then plug it in, wait about 15 seconds then turn sw6 off, then go to test 1.5 -should now work.

Turned machine off, unplugged notey and turned sw6 on, waited for machine to boot, turned sw6 off, went into test bnv no response enter code, entered code, bnv no response. ?

It will be yes.
You will need to solder the old one out and the new one in.
