Hi
I got a problem STILL with my boulder dash machine.

i power it up and it says "obstruction alm" flashing 17.
I think it might be something to do with the coin mech/hopper.
I bought a hopper from jaffacat and it seems to be working ok because i pressed collect in freeplay and it played a sound, where as before it would just say obstruction alm. but as i say that was free play.

i think it would be better to add me on msn because then i can explain better.

but any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Might sound stupid but have you connected everything up. I remember I was getting "obstruction alarm" once and the 4 pin connection at the hopper had come loose.

By the way the hopper is working fine - I tested it before posting out. :D

yeah, is it just that red connector that has to be connected, if so, thats all fine.

Cant remember what colour it is - I just know it`a 4 pin connector at the hopper and a longer connector that goes into the MPU board at the other end.

Hi,

what MPU is in the Boulderdash? not MPU4 by any chance?
I'm having the same issue with the obstruction error on one of mine with an MPU4 in it. I too changed the hopper( as well as the coin mch, but thats another story)
She then stopped giving the obstruction error and is now saying Call manger. I think it's the hopper controller that's the issue. I ordered one that arrived today so I'll let you know what happens later tonight.

Check for battery leakage/ damage if you haven't already.
