Noise from Barcrest Hot Stuff

My Hot Stuff makes a strange whining buzz which changes pitch as more/less lights come on.. At first I thought that it was coming from the speaker and it is.

But the noise also comes from the reel motors and the PSU. Interestingly, if I touch/move the reels, the noise changes (it gets louder).

Is this normal? I was told that it was, but last night I was in a pub (which was fairly loud) and put my ear against the speaker and heard nothing.

My machine doens't make a feint noise, but a racket which can easily be heard from 10 ft away.

Is this really normal?

If not, any ideas what I can do?

I would say its normal.

Ive had a few machines, and they have all made a noise, some worse than others. I think you notice it more when its in your own house, no background pub noise to drown it out!

All machines do it, maygay machines are by far the worse

Yep, mine do the same, main the Barcrests mind. Watch the attract mode and you'll hear different pithced noises as different blubs light up.

It's odd but you've nothing to worry about

its normal and i agree maygay are well known for the same fault
