Hi all just aquired this machine. It has been messed with. So i am after a little help. All the door switches have been unplugged as has the refill key. Does anyone know how to wire them back up? Also themachine is showing 17-83 pnd opto blocked i have removed and cleaned and its still there. Other than this the machine will do nothing i presume as it thinks the doors are closed as not wired up.

Any help taken. Cheers

there will be a set of dark coloured wires and a set of red blue wires.

forget about the red blue set they are for data capture.

connect the dark coloured wires to either end of the switch using the outside spades as shown below.

the hopper problem could be a little more tricky.
Barcrest machines of that era use modified coin control hoppers. which make finding compatable hoppers a nightmare..
are you sure your cleaning the opto properly?

also check the hopper loom conneccction to the mpu5 . this plug is difficult go get in and its possible for the plug to wedge between the pins and the board. make sure its definatly in correctly.
The attachment door switch.JPG is no longer available
with barcrest machines open circuit= door closed, so yes if they switches are disconnected the machine will think the doors are closed.
