Have a brown spoton this wee chip is this bad ??

i am assuming you are worried about heat damage?

peel the label off and see if the chip shows any or signs of damage.

doubtful tbh

That makes sense,
Do you know if i buy a mpu 4 mod 4 board will it work as a replacment for mod 2.?

you might have an issue with the sound.

on mod 2 boards the sound was handled on the mpu4, on mod 4 boards they changed the way the sound worked. the audio was handled on the gamecard.

i am not sure if they are backward compatable.
