Hi can anyone help as to why our Electrocoin OXO Reels - 3 player is showing Alarm 72 on all 3 machines? The top board is lit up and doing its attraction sequence but the bottom 3 machines will not work and are just showing Alarm 72. We have tried the following:

* Removing and reseating all reels
* Pressed Black testplay button and the machine will spin a maximum of 3 spins before Alarm 72 shows again
* Checked machines have been installed in correct order (1,2,3 etc)

We are being told that Alarm 72 is bad connection on the reels but it seems odd that all 3 machines are alarming for this reason?

Can anyone shed any light for us?

i think its a coms error , i am assuming its the the three player with top box?

Hi buzzer yes it is a 3 player with top box. Do you know if all 3 machines have to be switched on for the comms problem to rectify or can we do it machine by machine?

i think u need em all on, the problem will be with the topbox or coms cable
if i remember they used the rs232 port (usually used for datacapture) to link the machines
is the top box setting up?

When i turn the top box off and then back on again its like the boards in play waiting for the button to be pressed for the next roll, even if the machines are on or off, all 3 machines down the bottom still alarm, but the top box seems to be working fine its just waiting for the next roll.
Do you know if there is a reset button for the top box?

no i dont think there is, its been years since i seen one,
check all the networking cables are connected properly, then power up all the machines with the doors open and close them one at a time.

see if any connect to the top box
