Hi Guys,
I have got my hands on a Bell-Fruit "who wants to be a legionnaire", it belonged to a friend who was going to take it to the tip. He had to drill all the locks as he lost the keys so he could get his cash out. whilst drilling he also drilled out the refill lock. The machine works in free mode if you play with the main front open slightly so not to depress the door switch. However when you shut all the doors on the machine and get ready to play in cash mode the alarm keeps going off saying the door is open. Whilst looking I found that the refill lock had been drilled out and on of the terminals had broken off. Could this be the cause for the door alarm going off? Not sure how these refill switches are wired in?
Therefore can anyone help me to diagnose the problem with the alarm? Also does anyone know where I can find a replacement refill lock. Ive looked on flebay but cant find one, ive also searched on the net, found 1 site that has then but payment system for the site is not working so cant order one.
Thanks
John

After The Worst, Great Things Will Come!!
there are two switches on the top door for these cabinets.
one switch is activated by the door when it closes( top door switch), and the other switch is activated by the lock.( lock switch)
the idea being to stop collectors leaving machines with the door closed and not locked.
as you have no lock on the top door now, the machine is alarming to warn you that the lock is not closed properly.
you have two options really:
1:fit a new lock
2: refit the wires from the lock switch onto the spare side of the top door switch.
replacing the refil lock will have no effect at all.
refil switch is normally open, so not a major worry for you atm...
PS:
both refil locks and door locks can be found on fleabay
