Little advice please

just got given a global machine called "reel good night"

it has a problem, i think i have diagnosed it but would like some confirmation.

reel 2 often doesnt line up on initialisation the "flag" is usually a couple mm off. on the occasion it doesn't stop correctly and machine goes in service if you get nudges and nudge the second reel it sometimes moves it upwards rather that downwards? as if it trys to go the normal way but stops and goes otherway.

I'm guessing the motor is kaput, any advice on diagnosing further?

after diagnosing a little further have now concluded that the fault follow whatever reel is plugged into reel 2 slot.

Anyone got any ideas whats dead? the board that the reels plug into?

it'll be a board fault then
is it epoch??

Change your reel driver boardif its epoch, there's plenty on e-bay at the mo, either 4 reel or 6 reel boards.
