Fruit Machine Chat

I`ve got a qps cops and robbers machine it was working perfectly until last night. When plugged in it shows START UP then suddenly shouts out " you`ll never take me alive copper" then comes up with error-88, if you restart the machine it may come on as normal, insert money and start to play then it turns itself off. Try restarting and then only get START UP and nothing else.
I have checked all the fuses in the psu and they seem fine.
Please can anybody help as I know very little about these machines.

error 88 is program alarm
could b ur game card
try reseating it/ check for bent pins
if it looks ok then replace card

check for signs of leakage from the battery on the scorp 4,remove battery if there is a slightest sign of fur and clean track in affected area-if the battery has leaked for too long the track will be corroded to a point where you may have to think about a replacement mpu
ram clear in any case is a logical step to make with any spurious errors on any machine

you can do a nvr clear on scorp4/5/6 by putting the machine in test and then turn the refill key,hold down 4th button from right and then step down/up to extended tests-you will find nvr clear and then press start and press each hold button one by one from the right
