hi chaps. i'm stuck on me new bandit normaly a like t have a good go at things me self so av had good read about, but just got my self confused " not hard 4 a geordie" anyway i have the epoch 1 and noticed all lights on power suply wernt working so i got ps. from bandit i gave to me nephew nd that done no difrence so i changed the mpu bored and game chips as i read sumwhere that it could of been the batrey leeking somewhere down the line but still got same comms link 7.2 error. wen i got the machine it didnt play on free mode but found that was just the dil swich so its runing on free but would like to see him up nd runing proply. after working on it till the early hours last neet a hada nuther read about and fund sum1 that had got there self the same machine awhile back and wen was delivered had same eror and he said the ppl that delivered it just updated the game software or something like that and all was good. I'm wondering if thats wat i'm needing done and how would i go about that ?.

allso just had crapy thought with changing bored nd chips wen i put the bored back in the other bandit "high spirits" i hope i dont end up with the same error on there

error 7.1 is dataport error,
the machine is trying to communicate with a datapack/ data capture device.

you must have data protocol software on the machine.


you will need to switch to standard protocol programs or find a datapack. (data pack option may give you problems in the future though)

am not understanding datapack. am a newbe but can normaly sort problems w things even if it means doing a lota reading but been on w this bout a week now lol but not willing t accept defeat. How can i swich to standard protocol programs, is it posible or dose that mean new game chips or sumit els ?.

be difficult if you don't know anybody in the industry, not the sort of stuff you find on ebay...

am thinking its the chips thats causing the problem cud a be rite if so could a not see if a can get new1ns from sumwhere i have access to another working epoch machine and changed power suply and mpu boured but still the same. thats wat makes me think chip nd wondering if am right

yes, reprogramming the chips for standard protocol will you solve your problem..

cheers bud least now a no av got no cance with wat a have t sort it. a gona move the batreys of the main boreds to save any battrey leeks causing problems. the kids like playing on free mode so least its not total wast of munneys. thanx again bud
