freeplay

hi all me again. impulse geronimo which i think is in a maygay box has epoch mpu,been running fine no problems but it was switched on today and went into freeplay mode. the person who switched it on says she did nothing other than just switch it on. i guess there mst be a way to get it into freeplay and she has done it by accident, so any ideas?

Bottom door loose?

it dosen thave the original lock and is a bit loose so could this be the problem

Yes, taking the bottom door off gives freeplay, needs to be in flush to stop it.

I noticed this too, there is a switch in the door that needs to be pressed (door fully closed) for free play to turn off.

If you can't fix the door, put some black insulation tape over the pressure switch so it is pressed in, and that will solve the problem. Alternatively, you can buy a new lock and fix the door, drill the old one out, and just fit a new one, very easy to do.

Assuming they have the key for the door they can just undo the bolt!
