Fruit Machine Chat

Hi guys, My global/magay machine has problems with it's reel spin, it's set to the standard spin but when I boot it up it goes on to random spin and stays like that while playmode.
Now if I leave the machine on without playing it for half an hour or so it then goes back to the standard spin which it's been set on and stays that way till I switch it off so is this a battery problem on the main board??? Or is the dils gone??. I play the machine every evening for a couple of hours to keep the battery topped up.
any ideas on why this is doing this.

It's may well be a battery problem yes. They have a finite lifespan and need replacing periodically.
They also have a nasty habit of leaking and damaging the board, it's very difficult to spot until it's too late on these...
