Help !!!!!!
When I turn it on nothing happens except the money meters count up one credit. If you press the buttons they count up again and the odd light comes on.
changed power supply and tried new main board (epoch )
Its a global make

Also when the cash in / out meters count i lose the 24 volts from to psu until i press a button again then 24 volts comes back. Also the pcb boards lose the green led when buttons are pressed then come back on.
PS if i plug the speaker in it make the sound of an alarm.

I have found out that the reel driver board gets very hot. so thinking it may be this thats at fault.

Are all the lights flashing on all the boards? each board has a green light (flashing) and the main board has six (one is not used) if the boards getting hot it could be causing problems.
You say you can hear an alarm? are there any alarm codes on the led?

No alarm codes
the display is blank
when you press start/hold and so on the odd light comes on the counters count one count and somtimes the leds on the boards go out. also 24 volt goes dim on psu

I would try changing each board one at a time. the problem with epoch tech, if theres a fault on one board it can cause plenty of other bugs glitches to appear. are you sure the main board you changed was a good one without any battery leakage?

yes. got it from eggy777 from ebay.came with new battery on it.have used him loads of times before. great guy

Yeah eggy is a good supplier. As i said, you will probably have to change each board one by one to find the problem cause, i would start with the reel driver board to be fair.

changed the reel driver board still wont work.
changed the lamp board and YES it works ( sort of )
everthing works except 3 collect feature buttons on the glass.
they light up in lamp test
but wont work in input test.
when playing the game you cannot collect any features.
any ideas ?????

Tryed checking all diodes on the switch lines test all com lines with a meter also between the switchs to the lamp driver. But first remove one of the switchs at a time. So remove the wire from the spade for each switch with the diode in power off before removing each one then power back up and see how the other react if they work? if not power off resit the wire and try again. With the next one .You mite even find that the white end plug which is pluged into the upper line is damaged or a trapped wire or the most common is the plugs are in the wrong way round i.e upper is in lower and lower is in upper.

all the other buttons work fine
there are 9 buttons on the upper glass and they all work apart from the 3 feature buttons.

Ahh mate i know the machine its the machine with the flex reel hi-lo`s for features ect in the red/purple platium cabnet
