It's your number reel mate.
Carefully unclip it and examine. There should ba a small black tab that passes through a sensor once per revolution of the reel.this is used so that the machine can determine what number the reel will be showing to the player and thus be able to rip him right off with all those loses on elevens and twos with great ease.
Carefully clean the sensor with a damp cotton bud or something, with any luck this might fix the problem for you.

Thank you for your reply,
I've tried cleaning it, think part of the problem may be when the cable become disconnected from the reel, I think I have re-connected it right. Could this cause the problem?

Could be the cable ,it should only plug in one way though.
Problem maybe one or more of the wires on the connector.
If you have another similar machine you could try swapping the reel over, then you'd know if it was the reel or the wiring loom.

It is usually where the wires go into the plug to the reel. Push all these back in with a small screwdriver (with the machine off!!)
Quite common on the top reel.

Hi Guys thanks for the replies
What happened was, when the door was open, someone pulled the cable connected to the reel apart,
When I've re-joined the cable this is when the alarm has gone off saying:
Seek tab failed
Alarm 24-A7
Reel D setup
and the reel lights up either flashing or steady on.
I've took a picture of how I've re-connected it the cable could you tell me if its correct.
Many thanks

That`s where your fault lies. It looks like you have plugged the wrong lead in.
Have a look around for another one that looks more like the reel lead.

It was that lead that was pulled out?
Its one of two reels on the door that opens above your head and the other reel has been touched.

Yep I was wrong. Have you tried the other reel on that loom and that reel on the other loom? This will establish that the reels are working.

Ive tried it on the other one and it works, i think the problem occurred once it was taken out.

Then you need to look at your loom. You need to make sure all the wires are fully pushed into the plugs

Move the plugs about as the machine is initialising and see if you can make the reel move
