You need to use a refill key mate, insert it and turn, then manually put some coins in to cover the "left to pay on the matrix" then you will find it will pay out ok, then just manually put the coins back in so it don't happen again (try to keep a float of at least the jp in it) If you aint got a key, just google search "refill key" and you'll get one for a few quid. :)

either fill the hopper by hand and press the hopper topped up button next to the hopper (so machine knows its full)
OR turn refill key and top up pound coins through the slot so it counts them in.
If a machine thinks its empty it won't pay. And how would it know you topped it up if you just pour coins into the hopper?
It needs to count them in or be told £125 etc has been added.

It owes 60p, so iv put £2 in 20s in and it still doesnt pay out, does the hopper need to be full in order for the machine to recognise there is coins in there?

Thanks for the help

Its an old tube machine, there is no hopper top up switch.

The machine uses the top and bottom sensors to work out how much float is in the tubes and routes/payouts accordingly.
The attachment sensors.jpg is no longer available
