Vivid card shark not working

Post by beanieboy »

Hi guys, I'm new here so be gentle!
I have a Vivid Card shark £250 jackpot 4 reel machine and it's recently gone wrong. It all started when my little 2 year old decided to switch on the plug to power the machine up and switched it off straight away about 5 times in quick succession. Now the alarm keeps going off saying "check it out!" real loudly.
It sometimes happens straight away and sometimes after a few spins. I'm figuring the RAM might be corrupted or something like that. I know nothing about fruit machines but I am technically minded with other stuff.
Any ideas would be most welcome, thanks.

Is this MPU5?

When the m/c goes into alarm there should be an error code displayed on the alpha, post it up here and somebody will be able to help you...

Yes it is a MPU5 and just now the alarm went off after about 5 mins of play. I had just got to the feature part collected a £3 cash win but lost a hi-low gamble. All the lights went off and the display part was blank, no error codes. Although previously it has showed error codes but I can't remember them. Maybe 93 or something like that springs to mind. Thanks.
