I have a dead one at the moment, just about every resistor on the chassis has overheated and the HT lead has melted in places.

Ouch,

You gunna change the chassie or let her die?

I have a good freind whos great at all monitor repairs so he works on all the stuff i cant fix.

Only kept the golden tees to maintain the silver strike bowlings i have as there in the same rebuild cabs, just a shame they never took good cash.

Yeah Golden Tee always had a very niche appeal. They could take money in the right place, but not often. They made gazillions of the things too.

I could do with sorting the monitor as it's in a nice compact video cabinet which is too good to scrap, but repairs estimates are all £40 + parts and it's barely economical. What's more annoying is that I only sold a 25" monitor with a decent chassis a year back... I didn't think I would need a spare at the time!

What about a cheap ebay scrapper?

The midi cabs do come up quite a bit just depends on if its near you.

Do you still site any?

I think i only have 3 out now, one point i had 25 out about 2 years ago but it all died a death.

Yes I will have to keep an eye out for a good one. The games are worth next to nothing, but people still want the monitors and whole cabinets to MAME.

I don't site any more, the good times are gone. I used to do very well with SWPs though.

My last 6 dead cabs are getting MAMEed, thats my next project in the little time i have left.

I used to site just videos and swps but i needed more income hence the awp route.

Have to say its getting hard out there atm.

If i hear one more landlord mention hes tied i will cry, lol.

I have to say the paragons are just not worth the money, what they pull back in is just peanuts now, how to waste £3195+ VAT.

Yep, pretty much the same vibe I am getting from most suppliers at the moment.
I did think about getting the AWP licence a while back, but with the pub trade firmly on it's arse I didn't fancy the gamble!

Well it was a good jump if im honest, just harder to gain sites.

I will never make the best cash from the best sites but slow and steady wins the race.
