not really why not play them down the pub- I dont like to take my work home. Very few people except one of the Nevilles would want to have a quiz machine at home. The only people Who I have ever spoken to who wanted to buy a quiz machine for home wanted to benefit by learning all the questions on the programmes or to develop a system to beat the machines.(a) the quiz machines that available to buy are generally out of date ones (b) to learn it in my experience its better to play little and often - I have no desire to purchase a quiz machine of any description-They are a massive part of my life as it is.

Hi Mitch

Ignore cool, he's just jealous  . Either that or he's got some love/hate relationship thing going on, which is understandable.

Your machine (the second purchase?) sounds like it's in test mode - the 31 indicates the % paid out on a 30% setting, while the 'bd c' stands for 'Bloody Damn Computers' (unless someone tells me otherwise).

Anyway, when you say 'goes through the whole uploading sequence', what do you mean? Booting up? If so, then try a switch under the monitor after lifting up the top door. It shouldn't really be booting up into test mode though. Perhaps a door switch is out of action.
