Jackpoteers annoying 'hey check it out alarm'!!!
Hi all
Ok I recently managed to make a friend of mine part with an old fruit machine that laid dorment in his garage. its a barcrest jackpoteer which i was told worked perfectly yet when i plug it in and turn it on all i get is a completely blank screen (tho sometimes a 0 comes up on the credit screen) and the most irritating "hey check it out" alarm on a constant loop. I have checked the fuses and made sure its all plugged in so was wondering if anyone has come across this before or has ideas? any info would be hugely appreciated guys ..... and gals
p.s sorry for being so blunt im just at my wits end with this thing and i wanna play!

Just got your new PM and if this is MPU5 then no, it wouldn't be the battery.
You could try taking out the game cartridge, switching back on and waiting for it to try to initialise, then switch it off and replace the cartridge.
If this fails to clear the ram then you will need to short the battery momentarily (with the machine off!)
