I have a Barcrest 'Revolution' which keeps sounding Alarm code (83 -17) pnd opto blocked.

I have checked that there are no loose connections and also taken apart the payout hoper to check for any blockage- it all seems clear.

Is there any way I can test the sensor?

Any help would be much appreciated

Have you cleaned the sensor as they cause that alarm when dirty, also make sure the coins exit the hopper ok(payout test) and not getting stuck at the exit chute.Hoppers get very dirty from all the coins and need cleaning regulary.

Thanks for that, I will have a go at cleaning the sensor + run a payout test and see what happens. I'm guess I will need to dismantle the hopper to reach the sensor?

If this fails is it easy enough to get hold of a new hopper mech?
