Just bought my 1st machine a global
Jackpots that rock n roll
I was trying to access the test menu, after pressing the test button nothing happened,
I read that you had to press the test button and a test button on the epoch board .
The only button I could see was "function switch" after I pressed that something happened.
The display said "eat board square"
Now it has a very faint alarm from the front speaker, it won't boot up, just a few random lights.
Nothing is displayed on the alpha display now.
I can't believe I've had the machine for 2 days and killed it already.
Hope someone can help
Thanks
Help a newbe with his global please
I hoped this might happen , after it's been turned off a while it's started up ok..
Every time I turn the machine off / on since I got it I get a mem error.
I think this means the battery needs replacing, I'm waiting on delivery of one.
The reason I was looking for a setting menu is I want to get a note acceptor,
Do I need to install the note acceptor through settings menu or switches?
Also does anyone know what kind of note acceptor I could get for Themis machine ?

Pulled plug for a few minutes, inspected psu ( not that I know what to look for )
Hooked back up, plugged in.
Starts up ok with the normal mem reset alarm followed by the Normal on/off alarm,
I thought great, it's back on.
20 seconds later it starts clicking reels start moving a bit, then the faint alarm sound.
Could a faulty psu cause this behaviour ?

yes leaky batteries cause all sorts damage.
sounds like you caught it just in time..
if youlook on the main board there is a tiny black push button.
you need to hold it in and press the green test button to access the test menu.
I've never had the unpleasant task of trying to fit a note acceptor in one of these hellish machine so cant help you there..

For the note acceptor Im sure they take 2 different ones. I know for sure they take an nv4 can't remember the other one. Nv4s aren't the easiest to find try ebay there was one on last week. You'll need the acceptor the wiring loom and the chute. The acceptor plugs into either the epoch or the hopper driver board you could rig them up to both. In all honestly mate more hassle than worth fitting the acceptor as getting all the parts won't be easy due to the age of the nv4.
