Whats up doc £250 jackpot
Hi guys, Been playing my fruity machine fine until I left it off for a month. Switched it on the day and every bulb flashing constantly along with it emptying itself as if you've won the jackpot.Does this for about 10 mins. When I touch any of the buttons ie, play cancel etc the reels move up and down an inch. Tried me key in the lock to see if I can read any faults on the LCD display but I can't even do any checks for Errors. It's been working fine until this fault. Can anyone help me out as I don't no any engineers in Newcastle. Thanks people. Much obliged.
Thanks for replying. I don't know where the battery is and I don't know what EPROMS are when fitted. I presume the battery is very near the main board where I can change the percentage. Example, the main circuit board with 2 black chips on it and numbered 1 to 16 etc etc. Thanks again.
it's an epoch technology machine, these are by far the worst machines to work on imho...
difficukt to fault find on these machines unless you have access to spare parts....
sort of trail and error swopping boards out, the boards are all connected using serial ribbon cables, could be summit as stupid as a pinched cable shorting out...

I've searched every circuit and can't find the battery that looks like a tiny watching battery. All I can find on the main board that looks like a battery is a green plastic coated thing sealed about the size of a watch battery and it has a RED PLUS sign on it. Wish I New how to attach a photo to this reply as I would show you the main board and the other 4 circuit boards that just have got pinned plugged wires on them that just click in. Thanks again people. Enjoy your night
Found the battery as I looked on fruit machine batteries on eBay. My battery looks fine as had the main boards out and no leaks. Am ordering a new battery in try it as I'll let to solder it in after taking old battery out. Looks like 3 watch batteries in a little green plastic coated case. Cant find any damage on the eproms as they look ok. Probs a kinked loom wire making the machine go potty. Thanks all for helping and I'll try a new battery. Only £5:95 on a spare repair site but there's 2 different kinds. Thanks all again. Have Fun All
