Reel 22 error and removing reel help...

Post by Vision »

Hi, i switched my machine on last night to find im getting the alarm ringing and a reel 2 22 error displaying.

The 2nd reel seems to be dead and not moving and also when i try to spin it theres a lot of resistance compared to the other reels.

I have checked all connections etc but cant get it to work. . i also noticed the day before that this reel seemed to be twitching a lot while in use.

Im suspecting the motor in the reel has died, does this sound probable?

Can anyone suggest anything else to try or help me locate a new reel. . the machine is a Bell Fruit Deal or No Deal on Scorpion 5 if that helps.

Also i've been looking at taking the offending reel out to attempt to try cleaning it but so far i cant manage to remove it. . . Anyone got any idea how these come out?

Thanks guys :)

is it a blue reel or a black reel?

take the reel right ut the machine and see if t spins, if its still struggling its probably the motor (unless the lamp holder has broken and is jamming the reel).

the way you explained it i thinks its the motor

these reels sre secured by an awkward plastic clip.

if you look at the right hand side of the right reel , near the bottom of the reel , you should see the plastic clip,
using a flat headed driver to prsie the clip open and pull the reel up.

then do the same for the middle reel... :)
