power supply

Post by danq »

hi got a broken power supply and rather than just dump it i would like to get it going,so the question is does anyone have or know where i can get a circuit diagram for a stadium power supply, the 12 volt section has died, from an impulse.magay machine .

The problem is that the power supplies cost next to buttons so fixing them isn't worth it these days.

hi
my old second hand power supply cost £35 and £12 p&p i guess i could replace any component on the board for about £2 or less so a repair seems viable to me

If it's Epoch then you will have trouble fixing it. It's poor quality surface mount shite. Very difficult to replace components.
If you can get a Mark 2 PSU circuit board then that should sort the problem, it was a much better design than the first one.

Also if you can trace the fault to the transformer in the PSU then I should still have a working one that you could try.
