Post by harvey94 »

Hi guys!

New to this forum! go easy.... lol

I would like to know if it is possible to change the float amount on my home machine as it is set about £1100, can i take this down a bit?
its a barcrest machine using MPU5, does not have any percentage or stake keys fitted. The Jackpot is set at £250

Thanks

Harvey, welcome, I'll move this to the technical section near the base of this board. Someone there will probably reply.

Hmm, let me have a think. There should be a Top-up Hopper button on the inside of the machine?

In this case, dump the hopper.
Then, manually refill the machine using a refill key and loading coins in through the coin slot. Do this until you have the amount of coins you want inside the machine
Re-open machine and press HOPPER TOP UP. This will make the machine think it is full, and any coins will go down the back into the cashboxes when you play it.

With a £250 jackpot, the hopper level should only be about £350 when full, unless of course it's fitted with a note acceptor, which you've not mentioned.

What makes you think that it floats at £1,100?
What sort of hopper is it using, as most can't even accomodate this sort volume of coins?
