On Mod 4 MPU4 boards there is a volume potentiometer on the program card (the card stuck into the main board).

If there is no volume control on the card (therefore it's a mod 2, with the sound onboard the MPU4 itself) the volume control is on the MPU4 board.
It's located next to the DIL switches.

I think Disco Inferno is a Scorpion 4 machine not an MPU4.
Whether it is doable via a Refill key is my guess. Whether you turn the key on its own, or have to hold down a button at the same time, that's something I don't know! That, or try to get the machine into test mode, skip through the various options and there might be a volume control.

Right thanks, that makes much more sense now.

Scorpion 4 volume is test number 8.2.
To enter test, open the front door and press the green test switch once.
To step through the tests press the button 2nd from right.
To select a test, or exit a test, press the right hand button.
When in volume test;
Pressing the button 2nd from the left increases,
Pressing the left hand button decreases.

There should be a volume mode on all tests. That's how everyone knows which speakers are working seeing as most machines have 2 at least now.
CHANNEL ONE
CHANNEL TWO
CHANNEL ONE AND TWO
How are you going through the test menu? If Im correct(relating to my Red Gaming Horizon cab machine) it should be START to start the test displayed on alpha, then the button to the left of START to cycle forwards through the tests, and the one left of THAT to cycle backwards again.

^^
Multi channel tests are done in 8.1, Audio test.

Just checked again and indeed the volume can be adjusted in the refill menu.
The refill key slot is the one on the front of the machine that doesn't open any part of the cabinet. If you don't have a key you can just short the wires on the back of the switch.
Still don't know why you don't have volume in the test menu though; all other Scorp 4 machines do.
Do you have a test number 8.2 or is it missing?

oh good idea the refil key is just a connection it could be changed for a button as it's for home use or a refill key I just purchased one but will shorten it out for now until it comes :D Thanks!
